Every person must be born again to know God and have everlasting
life. John
3:3, 16
The
reason we must be born again is found in Romans
3:23.
"For
the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans
6:23.
You
cannot earn salvation. You cannot do it on your own.
It is God's gift to you. Ephesians
2:8-9.
Being
saved or born again is receiving Jesus as your Lord (Master),
committing yourself to follow His Word (the Bible), and believing
that God raised Jesus from the dead. Romans
10:9-10; 1 John 2:3.
Are
you ready to make
this life-changing commitment?
Pray
according
to Romans
10:9-10.
Pray something
like this to God and really mean it:
Most Holy God, I am so aware of my own unholiness. I
confess to you I am hopeless and helpless under the weight of
my own sin. I confess I am a sinner in desperate need of grace.
I acknowledge that Jesus is your Son. He came to this
earth as the perfect Lamb of God. He was nailed to a cross for
me. He knew me before time began. He took on all my sins in
advance, Past, Present and Future. His death paid the penalty
for every sin I would commit.
This moment I receive your Son, Jesus Christ, into my
life by faith.
Just
as He rose on the third day, raise up his resurrection life
in me this moment.
Holy
Spirit I welcome you. Come into my heart to stay. My life is
signed and sealed until I am safely delivered into your heavenly
kingdom.
Most Holy God, Sovereign Creator of the Universe, I now
call you Father, My Abba, my Dad. For I have been saved by the
blood of the Lamb. My life is now sacred, no longer common or
unclean. From this day forward I belong to you. Help me to live
in gratitude for so great a salvation. For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory, Forever and forever.
In
Jesus Precious Name, Amen and Amen
You
are now born again, forgiven and on your way to heaven. You
are a new creation 2
Cor 5:17. Yet this is only the beginning. You need to
renew your mind to live a powerful life as a believer. Rom
12:1-2.
You
need to read the Bible regularly in order to grow. Rom
10:17.
Getting
together with believers on a regular basis is also important.
Heb.
10:25
If
doubts or fears come to mind about salvation, reject them
and realize that the Bible is what your salvation is based
on, not what you think or feel. Romans
10:9-10
You
will need to be baptized in water as a believer. Acts
10:48.
God has also given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. You need
this gift to live the Christian life God wants you to live.
